#1 CoinSpot Alternative

Swyftx is my recommendation as the #1 alternative to CoinSpot. It is built with new users in mind, so it has a very user-friendly interface, with a unique Demo mode that lets you practise trading with free play money. Swyftx has tight spreads and low trade fees of only 0.6% compared to CoinSpot's 1%. Swyftx performed remarkably well in a Bitcoin buying test, and offers $20 free Bitcoin for new users if you sign up here. If you want to read a comparison article of Swyftx vs CoinSpot, click here.

Low Fee alternative to CoinSpot

Digital Surge is an excellent choice for crypto investors that are looking for lower fees than CoinSpot. CoinSpot charges 1% per trade, while Digital Surge only takes 0.5%. In fact, Digital Surge won my crypto buying test with the lowest fees and spread. Digital Surge is a top alternative to CoinSpot because it has a lot of the features that CoinSpot offers. For example, Digital Surge offers over 300+ different cryptocurrencies, it has a mobile app for iOS and Android, and Live Chat support. It even offers features that are rarely found on other exchanges, for example, you can pay your Australian bills and credit cards using Bitcoin from your Digital Surge account.

Alternative trading platform to CoinSpot

If you are an experienced serious trader looking for an advanced cryptocurrency exchange with plenty of features not found on CoinSpot, Binance is perfect for you. The platform has extremely low trade fees of 0.1%, and supports futures trading, margin trading, P2P trading, and even staking. If you have been around the crypto market for some time, and can comfortably navigate detailed crypto exchanges, I would highly recommend Binance. However, if you are a beginner, I would suggest one of the other exchanges, as the interface is not as simple to use and can be overwhelming for new users.

Large-volume investor alternative to CoinSpot

Independent Reserve is an excellent alternative to CoinSpot if you are an experienced high-volume trader. It has a VIP service desk catering to large OTC trades, and discounts on large-volume trades (over $20 million per month decreases your fees to only 0.02%). The fact that over 8000 Self-Managed Super Funds choose to use Independent Reserve is testament to its ability to look after high-volume clients. You can also deposit USD, NZD and SGD, whereas CoinSpot supports AUD as the only fiat currency. If you are interested, you can read my detailed comparison of CoinSpot vs Independent Reserve.

Easy to Use site like CoinSpot

Cointree is not as well-known as the best Aussie crypto exchanges but it is a good alternative to CoinSpot because of its simple interface. CoinSpot is already easy to use, but Cointree's platform is extremely clean and uncluttered, making it perfect for first-time crypto investors. Even though it is a simple exchange, Cointree not only supports the major coins (BTC, ETH, ADA, LTC, BCH), but over 160+ altcoins. Another cool feature is the ability to pay your Australian bills using cryptocurrency in your Cointree account.
